On your point #3, "Bigger apps means less room for other content, such as music and videos," it could also be nightmarish for tech administrators managing their device inventory and data plan. Before, you had to connect to Wi-Fi when downloading an app of 20MB or larger. Now it's 50MB: http://bit.ly/FQmnyL

First impressions: The new iPad display is really stunning. At full brightness, however, the 2048 x 1536 Retina Display makes the frame really warm (64GB/WiFi). After about 10-15 minutes of use my fingers get uncomfortably warm.

What a whiner! And FLASH is SO OVER, dude. Even Adobe has abandoned it. (I have n APP that converts it for my iPad, if I must see a Flash-embedded site...) I congratulate Apple for leaving it out.

Then you won't be ever buying a tablet. You can't hold a tablet with a border less screen. It's clear that you've never used a tablet. Even with borders you hit the screen at times. There's a reason why no tablet is built without a border. This isn't a phone.

LOL - no Flash! hahaha! Anyone who is still developing anything in Flash is stuck somewhere in the last decade. Flash is dead and Ed Baig wants Apple to support it!

I like the idea of a retina display and a bigger battery but, there isn't enough value-add in this model to spur me to buy one. The 5MP camera is still entirely useless to me, the front-facing VGA camera is still something Apple should be embarrassed about, I dont care about 3G/4G/LTE/XYZ, etc.

I was expecting a larger scale redesign. A borderless screen would have been nice. I would have bought it, even with its crummy cameras, if it had a borderless screen.

I also have Siri apathy. Siri hardly works and is, again, something Apple should be embarrassed about so really not having it on an iPad is no loss in my eyes.

Thanks for providing us with the info in this article. I hope to see similar run-downs on some of the new Android tablets!

"6. No Adobe Flash."

What's Adobe Flash??? Isn't that some old PC software from the 1990's?
