Used It!
Susan, I just used this list to grab reservations for dinner on Tuesday night while I'm at Interop. Thanks for putting it together!

Re: White Castle?
@Susan true, food is something very much linked with what we find familiar and/or comforting.

Re: White Castle?
@Ariella: I was only kidding with you. All things in moderation. It's funny, i rarely eat fast food but when I was in Tokyo some years back I found myself craving McDonald's. I think I was really craving some familarity, but a quick stop in definitely helped me overcome a touch of homesickness. :)

Re: White Castle?
@SusanN you're right; I shouldn't encourage fast food habits, especially when there are healthier options all around.

@freespirintny25: Thanks for the additional recommendations! Ninth Ave. has truly turned into a food mecca. I used to live on 9th and 45th in the late 80s, when the area still deserved to be called Hell's Kitchen. I'm continually in awe of how much it has changed since then.

Re: NYC Dining Options
@Zerox203: yes, you're right, Curtis did wax poetic about his fondness for food on e2. I was going to try and further complement Dave's geeky places with geeky restaurants, but I love good food too much to steer people to places where I can't personally vouch for the food quality. Hence this list.

New York is definitely the city that never sleeps...and never stops eating. hope you get to indulge in a visit sometime soon.

5 Napking Burger is YUM! My favorite on the list. My favorite is the Italian Turkey Burger...and they are open until midnight. If you are into Mexican I reccommend Limon Jungle on 53rd and 9th...the drinks are GREAT too!
