Data is the primary driver that can communicate information to an individual about their health. If an individual is having a weight gain or loss problem, taking them from a normal BMI to a BMI of being overweight or underweight, then it is data that can pin-point the date when the first pound of body weight deviated from the normal and compounded into the future. Once the date has been established, an individual can recall the changes that took place during that period, it could have been due to a new job, small change in eating habits and/or the start of a relationship that changed their normal eating/exercising pattern.

Excellent and Relevant Article
It is a pleasure working with Brian LeClaire.  Every day, our walking teams, with their Fitbits on their belts or wrists, can be seen getting steps in for the 100 Day Dash via the Louie Link, our downtown tunnel system that routes walkers from Waterfront Plaza, to the Kentucky Convention Center and to 4th Street Live, and beyond.  There are very friendly internal challenges between teams, and a focus on improving health and helping to motivate our Humana friends and family.  Improving the health of all of our members is our primary mission, and wearable devices are but one avenue in doing so, but also a very important one.
