According to today's report from Consumer Report testers bendgate is being overblown, while the iPhone 6 is a little less sturdy that previous versions the mass reported bending appears to be exaggerated. This week we should test the battery life! Can't wait for the video!
It's interesting that all these companies seize on social controversy surrounding Apple. Social media appears to me to be fundamentally parasitic.
True enough. I'd add though that there's a very fine line to walk between being funny through topical humor, and being seen to be gloating or opportunist in a negative sense, which may actually damage your brand as much as it helps it. For example, Kit Kat mocking the iPhone is funny as all heck. Samsung mocking it just seems smug. Maybe it's just me. HTC of course also tweeted to make fun, which is ironic as their phone came bottom of the Consumer Reports bend tend list as I recall. Ah well. ;-)
