Re: Chrome?
Brave soul. I'm surprised a Genius Death Squad hasn't shown up at your door. That has to be violation of the 100 page Terms & Conditions from Apple.  :-)

I prefer Chrome the best on desktop, not sure I use enough on phone that it would make difference. I use Safari to search Google. :-)

I've always been curious what those phones do in background to burn battery, thought you might have stumbled on to something. Apple probably programmed iOS app to show Chrome is a hog so you uninstall it. :-)

Re: Chrome?
>why is Chrome on your iPhone?

I prefer it to Safari.

>What is this background activity? Updating location? Is this only if you leave browser session open after using?

I'm not sure. I assume it's location checking. I have background app refresh disabled so I'm surprised it's so high.

Chrome?
Thomas, why is Chrome on your iPhone?

What is this background activity? Updating location? Is this only if you leave browser session open after using?

Re: Upgrade to iOS8
These are really great features for IOS 8.  Apple has made the effort in providing updates that enhances the types of tasks people do on a regular basis.  I wonder how Samsung and Microsoft will respond to the release of such features.  Since Christmas time is coming soon, new and meaningful updates for their own smartphones could entice new consumer.

Upgrade to iOS8
iOS 8 brought a batch of new features. I upgraded my old iPad2 to iOS 8. It's a little bit slow on this aged device but still acceptable. What I like most is the new iMessage, it provides the similar experience as te famous QQ and WeChat product.
