Re: Positive Environmentalism
That's a possibility. I also think that calorie-wise, the edible coffee cup is one of the more innocent menu items coming out of KFC. This is the same chain that's replacing bread with fried chicken - http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2015/01/26/double-dog-down-kfc-fried-chicken-hot-dog-sandwich/22350739/.

Re: Ewww, i'm not a goat
@vnewman2- Glad you survived. :)

Seriously though, you have to drink a lot of caffeine to be lethal. We don't have a clearcut number because of body weight and metabolism. But the estimate is something arounf 6 grams per 100 lbs you weigh. That's 6 gallons of regular coffee in a short sitting. The quadruple espresso was a lot, but probably entirely safe in the short term. :)

Re: Ewww, i'm not a goat
@tzubair- I like the idea of a cookie cup. What grosses me out is "heat-resistant" chocilate and "smells like sunscreen." A bread bowl is just normal bread. You don't have to do anything to bread but cut a whole in it to make a bread bowl. What do you do to a cookie to make it smell like sunscreen?

Re: Positive Environmentalism
@gary_el- The lack of waste is a real plus. The added calories, not so much. I think I'd rather have a biodegradeable receyclable cup.

Re: Ewww, i'm not a goat
@kelly22- I think the problem with a donut cup is that you're supposed to put the donut in the cup not the other way around. :)

But you got me thinking about other things we do with this. How about ketchup packets made of french fries? Peanut butter jars made of chocolate?

Re: If only...
@whoopty- I too quit caffeine. It was really hard. Took months of weening myself off. Now, i can have the occasional caffeine without needed to have it all day. Funny enough, I'm reconsidering my relaitonship with caffeine. Maybe if I can up my caffeine intake and lower my sugar intake I'll feel better.

Re: Ewww, i'm not a goat
@kstaron- Love the goat comparison. I am a fan of the waffle cone so maybe if they made the waffle coffee cup?

Re: Ewww, i'm not a goat
@tzubair I love bread bowls, you're right that it's a similar idea. Now you have me thinking whether we can apply the same concept to a donut mug filled with coffee...

Relieved, but not surprised...
to learn that writers/editors rank 4th among caffeine-drinking professionals. Glad to know that me and my (gallons of) coffee aren't alone! Also, I wouldn't knock this edible cup until I try it. Bonus if there's a fortune hidden at the bottom.
