Re: Hear from a User of the Techniology
ClassicC, You mention the old ways of doing things, however, don't you think adaptation to the new ways of doing things should match the speed of today's technologies? Otherwise, we will never catch up. -Susan

Re: Security benefits
Well, Sachin, but do you only want to have fun, or do you want efficiency? Innovation can and should exist anyway, don't you think?

" But the reality is that it takes more than my optimism to make something work." @Susan So true. We should put that on T-shirts!

Re: Security benefits
Peter,

"New opportunities equal new risks. Hopefully standardization can alleviate a few potential avenues."

Indeed. Having the capacity to forsee those risks before they even occur gives you a good chance to act in advance, or at least be better prepared in case you can't prevent an outcome. Standardization is certainly going to play an important role in the IoT as a whole.

Re: future?
Ariella,

It's not that I am not optimistic about the alliance, or about the technology. I am. But the reality is that it takes more than my optimism to make something work. If it were only for my optimism the world would be a very different place.

Re: IBM: Boldly Going Where few......
Thanks, ClassC. :)

What I like from IBM is that the company expands in different directions, all of which are crucial in today's enterprise world.

future?
@Susan you wrote, "It remains to be seen whether the LoRaWAN technology will become a global standard, as the alliance members hope." That sounds very carefully put. Are you not optimistic about the members' achieving what they hope for?
