Re: So many great robots!
@Straustician- I am fearful of something which is starting to happen in developed economies. Realistically, we don't need to employ 95% of us to run the economy. Robots aren't taking jobs so much as we've been making busy work for ourselves for a while. And I wonder how this transition will go to an all robot economy.

It is one thing to have a Star Trek like economy where no one needs to work and we all find our calling to do something interesting. If is another to transition to that. What happens when realistically, we shouldn't have everyone working but we need many to work? What happens if 25% unemployment is the best way to run our economy? How about 50%? How do we get over the idea that those people are "lazy?" How do we re-engineer a society to support people who do other things besides work? We spent the last 60-100 years trying to make an economy to allow women into the workplace (which is wonderful) just in time for a reality where maybe not everyone needs to work.

But at the same time, we have a politcal and economic client that requires everyone to do so. I want us to hurry up and create robots that can take ALL of our jobs. I'm worried when they take half.

So many great robots!
Nothing is better on a Monday than seeing lots of awesome robots!  We've seen them being used in key industries for years (auto manufacturing is the first one that comes to mind), and I can only wait to see where we will be in 5 years. Not only do they extend the capabilities of humans, but they are going to make our lives hopefully easier (if they don't steal too many of our jobs).
