LOL @jastroff That design would actually be rather difficult to build, I'd wager. We can try to get an architect to weigh in on that.

@Ariella no job is impossible if there is enough money and mind going into the task.

Re: CIO Relaxation
I don't think CIOs can think as much. They haven't got free time to dream about their future because they are already obsessing over their current company's situation at hand.

petty things
It really amazes me how do people at C-level bother about such petty things like office size, location, stationery and other fringe benefits.

Perhaps the human nature does not change, irrespective of the job title.

You know what they say. .. you can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl. I am sure the saying can be adapted and applied to the c-level!!!

Relaxing is good for you
Taking the time to relax such as doing a meditation (even if it's silly self-aggrandizement) usually makes people more productive and better able to make decisions. So even if it's silly, i hope all CIO's have a few minutes to spare.

Re: Relaxing is good for you
I had a manager that took a 15 minute nap every morning at 9:00. He would set his alarm, pull his hat over his eyes and snore till the alarm sounded. He said that made him "good to go" four the rest of the day.
