Mobility and Enterprise seems to be MSFTs focus now.
Great introduction/primer to how Microsoft is looking at how 2016 and later wishape up for the Enterprise!

The way I am looking at most of these acquisitionsstrategy is that they have accepted they have lost the Battle for Mobile OS .

They are just looking at software which can help Enterprises do their Jobs better and more effectively.

Obviously, this automatically puts them in competition with Big Blue,HP,Dell,SAP and Oracle.

But Microsoft has lots of Fans in Enterprise IT and I am sure they will continue leverage that Leadership expertise to ensure they retain Mind-share and Enterprise IT space for much more time to come.

@ASHU001: and they should. Microsoft's frosty spell in the world market is thawing a little bit at a time. And I believe that MS would need better marketing management and production of digital advertisements and contents that would aid in people turning their heads and actually paying attention to what MS is bringing to the table.

yalanand,

I also hope MSFT succeeds with the transistions they are trying to pull off.

Simply because the more competition we have in this Space ;the better it is for everyone involved and ultimately the Consumer benefits.

A Strong MSFT means that there will be atleast 4-5 big players in this space fighting out to deliver best value for Money solutions for Consumers everywhere.

@Ashu001: Yes. MS has had problems with the Windows Phone since forever and in that context they need to come up with ideas really fast for anything to change
