Microsoft & Christmas
"More apps were downloaded on Christmas Day than any other day of the year" Is this what people do when are together in a family gathering?

"Microsoft's Nokia fell from 5.8% to 2% between 2014 and 2015" Isn't this sad? Hopefully the Surface Phone can change that.
And I agree with the tablet comments. Nothing beats a tablet for reading a book.

Re: Space and purpose
I actually work listen to music and read on my kindle. I also enjoy watching movies on long trips. It's a great multi use tablet.

@pedro: Kindle is the best thing to read books. It is dedicated for reading and it is the closest thing that comes to books. Obviously books still rule the world though.

Thanks to the price cuts to the 6 and 6S Holiday sales are boosting for Apple. This also predicts that the arrival of the 7 would be anytime soon.

Re: Space and purpose
@impact now. I agree with you. I saw people trying to read a book on a large smartphone.  The size of the tablet has to be just right to enjoy the material.  I'm interested to know that as well.  Samsung and Apple some tough competition from Amazon and Microsoft has launched their own tablets as well.  I friend of mine got a Microsoft tablet, the number of apps were limited.  It is good for reading books and watching online material, but not anything else.

Space and purpose

While I understand the attraction to phablets I still like my bigger tablet for entertainment. It's easier on the eyes and has more viewing space for movies and TV.

Did you see any reports of how the kindle tablets are faring in relation to the Galaxy and iPads? My daughter got one for Christmas and it has great capabilities at a great price.
