While I agree that yes, many people get wearables thinking it will automatically change their behaviour because they are more aware of the number of steps they do each day etc, I think the bigger opportunity is really using it as a way to better monitor patients without having them hooked up to machines.  By having the ability for patients to rest at home and have their vitals sent to their doctor rather than come in for monitoring, or have them stay at a hospital means better quality of care and faster recovery time for patients.

Wearables
Just wearing the device does no good whatsoever. You still have to get up and exercise. No device, no matter how clever, well-designed or expensive it is, will do that for you
