re: FBI To Add Tattoos To Biometric ID Capabilities
Technology is so cool! I canG«÷t wait to see the applications and where else this technology is used. We have seen the facial recognition software on mobile devices such as Androids Facelock, and also on the new Galaxy S III. The FBI seems to be on top of their game when it comes to biometric identification. I think that this software could be very useful if applied to gang setting where certain tattoos could help authorities identify dangerous or wanted criminals. A tattoo is a hard thing to change, but it can always be covered up or hid so as not to be exposed to the video sensor, or however they analyze these markings on people. Does anybody already any protocols or standards where this technology is currently being used?
