privacy
It seems odd to me that Google shunted the responsibility of the privacy of students back onto the schools. Throwing up your hands and saying your child's safety isn't our concern, is a real good way to get backlash from parents as well as teachers. There should always, always, be an opt out button/option to protect preople's privacy, especially when marketing products used by kids. As they continue their efforts in the educational market, they may want to think harder about that.

Shutters down on Play for Education
It's a shame that Google is ending the Play for Education program after three fruitful years.

But not all is lost!

They are shifting focus to Chromebooks for Education. We hope that Google's continued involvement and support for the education system will have a significant impact on not just US but also on other countries around the world.
