Xiaomi MI 6
The MI 5 was a great phone if not the best. It sure gave some tough competition to iPhone 6s and also Galaxy S7. Xiaomi always specialises in providing high-tech smart phones in cheap budget. The MI 6 is now ready for launch and if rumors are to be believed it is going to be even better than MI 5.

Re: Owner of an MI
However I want to add, I would be buying the MI 5 because I like MI phones. I still have the MI 4, and it still feels powerful and lag free.

Owner of an MI
The thing about MI is that they don't normally push the envelope when introducing a new iteration of the OS. There is practically zero difference between the MIUI 6.6.7 and MIUI 7. Moreover you won't know which Android version you are using unless you check the Settings. Otherwise most MI flagships are Flagship killers. But with other brands like LeTV and OnePlus, Asus etc, I can only see declining sales for MI.
