I got my last patch on my Android tablet about three weeks ago. It's been quite some time since I got a patch for my iPad.

Still, I agree that iOS is the most secure mobile OS. On the other hand, it's locked down so tight that the overall functionality, of the devices that run it, is limited.

I would like to see Android adopt the same types of security as most major Linux distro's. If they could hammer out their security issues, and introduce something in the way of oversight (at least malware checking) on the app stores, then really Android would stand a chance of rivaling, or surpassing, iOS in terms of security.
