Apple needs to quit filing lawsuits to stay in business and restrict open competition. Play it out in the marketplace, not in the courtroom. I despise Apple management more every day.

re: Apple: Samsung Copied iPhone, iPad
Maybe Samsung should start charging Apple extra on iPad / iPhone parts to cover legal expenses.

I almost shed a tear when I read Stringer's statement that their highly polished steel band was incredibly hard to polish, then I realized that 90% of his statements were totally irrelevant to the case and were intended to elicit a sympathetic emotional response from the jury. I hope the jurors aren't dupes.

In the end, this is the accepted way to market an already successful product. Use the court systems to squash the competition, so you can market the same product for 25 years.

re: Apple: Samsung Copied iPhone, iPad
What would SONY be thinking during Apple vs. Samsung trial?
1. Sue Apple for more than 2.5B for blatant copy of Sony's design?
2. Sue Samsung again for more than 2.5B for blatant copy of Apple's blatant copy of Sony's design?

What would Samsung be thinking?
1. Buy Sony to sue Apple after losing trial?
2. Buy Sony's designs to sue Apple?

What would Google be thinking about Steve Jobs interview?
1. Sue Apple for deliberate and intentional defamation?
2. Buy Sony to sue Apple?

Not too bad of an article but a wee bit behind (ex: 9 jurors, not 10).
