They're a Fortune 15 company (Fortune 10?  I forget).  $4.8bil. isn't really that much to them.

Just wondering... much more expensive FiOS now gets so that Verozon can recoup that money from their customers.

Short Term Thinking Decissions did Yahoo In
Just about every management decission was based on a "quick" opportunity mind set with those opportunities not really materializing. However I think the straw on the camel's back was the lack of resources and eventual departure from their search engine. They could have very easily been another google but always sold the search engine group short in every mannner first shooting themselves in the foot then eventually the head.
