Digital value in insurance?
How would an insurance policy take on digital value instead of monetary value? If the parties involved periodically needed to settle with each other, they could deal in named credits when a loss occurred to one, which would be paid back when the party holding the "loss" was responsible for a similar loss to the other party. It would seldom be a precise exhcnage, but it could be a long term way of protecting against loss. It could be instituted at minimal expense and without big sums of money changing hands.
