A bit slow to the starting line. If Microsoft does indeed get into hardware watch out. I seriously doubt that would cannabalize any of the other manufacturers since all but Nokia now make Android handsets and besides, it isn't like Microsoft will start making phones in Redmond, someone else will do it for them so there is pie for everyone.
What Microsoft really needs to do though it take the burner up a few notches on it's partners so that higher quality and the best performance is what gets sold.
