Lumira - good start. Can do better!
Thanks for the great overview on Lumira. SAP need to simplify and consolidate their offering. Imo, they took their eye off the ball with the BOBJ acquisition and ended up with a plethora of overlapping, and at times poorly integrated, BI/analytics product suite. With Lumira, SAP is still playing catch-up with the likes of Spotfire and Tableau.

Everybody -- and I mean everybody -- at Sapphire was joking about "Lumira" sounding like the name of a sleep-aid drug. A name change was needed, SAP execs told me, because all the various data-visualizations, data-exploration and analysis modules introduced over the last two years were sounding alike. "Lumira" certainly stands out in the IT industry, but I'm sure the jokes will never end.
