re: States Seek Direct Messages For Health Data During Disasters
The growth in popularity and access to Direct messaging is
good news for healthcare especially when communicating across state lines,
while HIEs are usually limited to their individual states. With all the natural
disasters that we have been witnessing lately, having this sort of
standardization in place and having organizations participating in this
exchange of information is crucial especially when many people get displaced
and need medical attention elsewhere.
