"1. We manage cloud elasticity via a technology called SAP
HANA cloud frame that provisions "cloud-cells" up or down (more
importantly). Most companies running Suite don't want their performance to be
affected by others hence each cloud cell is independent to another. HANA
manages multi-tenancy at the schema level and multiple cloud cells can be
provisioned in a single system."
"2. Upgrades and patches for infrastructure is managed
autonomously by SAP. This is important specially for rapid infusion if
innovation in HANA. As an example, HANA SP6 got geo spatial processing and
SAP Business Suite got access to new geo capabilities as a
result."
