not a fan of proprietary software running a company, airgas has just switched to it and i can say i am not a big fan, may work well but it puts you at the mercy of others competence.

i don't like being held hostage to another organization good or not. employee discord is disturbing and reflects problems internally.

so what did airgas buy, perhaps a lot of trouble

Agreed. McDermott was already dominating on articulating the strategy and now that Sikka has so much responsibility for innovation (and plenty of direction from Plattner), Snabe's role was diminished. He's picking a good time to get out, though, as driving growth in the cloud is going to be easier said than done for SAP.

I've never been a fan of co-CEOs. It didn't work for RIM in the long run, and it wouldn't have worked for SAP. Big tech companies need one leader articulating one vision.
