Leading by example is extremely important -- workforces take a cue from leadership. If CXOs aren't using the technologies themselves, employees won't feel compelled to adopt. If CXOs are actively and visibly using the tools and promoting the value, it's more likely to catch on.

Thanks, David. Participation by high-level IT people in the company will certainly send the message that social collaboration isn't a nice-to-have but a must-do.
