Portfolium
Another amazing e-portfolio platform is Portfolium

I was introduced to it by my alma mater (UCSD). I personally use it and love that it's both a showcase and a social network. For me, it's the best option out there. And it's free! :)

Anyway, I agree with thise article! E-portfolios can and should be used by students/grads of ALL majors!

re: E-Portfolios: From Academia To The Workplace
Increasingly students, even at the K-12 grades, are "showing what they know" in ways other than paper-and-pencil tests. A comic showing what you know about the Aztecs, or an imagined Facebook conversation between "George Washington" and "Barack Obama," or a video of a skit that illustrates some economic theory in real-world action ... I think the the possibilities are endless!

Still wondering how useful e-portfolios are to to economics or business or history majors, as opposed to art or (in this case) digital media types.

re: E-Portfolios: From Academia To The Workplace
What are the most important characteristics of an e-portfolio that can stand the test of time? Will more colleges and universities allow students access to e-portfolios after they become alumni?
