Now it's not tough to develop iphone apps without programming skills as quite many sites offer not only templates for your future apps but as well do-it-yourself platforms allowing you to create complex apps from scratch and spending too little time. One of such services is snappii.Their WYSIWYG editor is a tool everyone will find easy to use.

Great guidance, Maribel. I'd enthusiastically add that what you say underscores the need for business and technology decision makers to take holistic, strategic approaches to everything that affects how customers, partners and prospects perceive their companies online. Online experience optimization for every user, regardless of connection type or device, should be a primary goal of every business. Even those that don't do business online (yet!) are affected by how they're perceived online, and throwing more apps at users is not likely to improve those perceptions.

I agree with the Less-App, More-API concept. Far too many brands clutter the App-store with useless apps, proverbially throwing ideas against the app-store wall to promote brand awareness among consumers. There are far less costly and time-consuming ways to promote one's brand. If, however, you allow tools that your customers are already using to interface with your product, this could be much more useful to your customers and a better way to get noticed, rather than forcing them to download your app first.

I completely agree with this. I've seen far too many companies create apps that very few people would use. The key to the API argument is standards. If your services are based on open standards and web technologies, not only will they be easy to integrate with other systems but it will also be much easier to leverage HTML 5 and other technologies to build rich apps that can run on your customer's browser.
