I assume the barges will be fairly stable when docked. Google does not want videos of guests getting ill splashed across YouTube.

You mean the Nexus Q? It was cancelled after initial reviews were underwhelming. I expect something similar will return at a more sensible price point.

Now instead of using its incredible advertising profits for noble "thousand flowers" technology experiments -- 995 of which seem to struggle in obscurity before being scuttled -- it seems like Google is now splurging on great big bouquets that get a lot of attention -- temporarily at least. Whatever happened to that Nexus 4 orb?
