Hybrid ahead of its time
Mike is right about tablet fatigue and the pendulum swinging back toward laptops/ultrabooks. There's been a tablet frenzy for the last two years and the "hybrid" model looked like Frankenstein to people. But now with improved design, the hybrid form factor is starting to make sense to those overloaded with devices. The challenge remains with Windows 8/8.1, the OS running on most of these hybrids. Will people accept Windows 8 and learn to work with it?

I also wonder who is the target user for a hybrid? If you've invested big in a tablet like the latest iPad (not the Mini) you probably aren't going to drop another $600 on a hybrid PC. And the problem with that is so many people have invested in tablets. But I suppose there are many (like myself) who have a fun, cheap 7-inch tablet but are also saddled with a heavy 5-year-old laptop. Hybrid becomes very appealing.

Chrome option
I'm holding out for a Chromebook 2-in-1 that does not cost more than my first car (looking at you, Pixel).

Hybrid PC Vs. iPad
Mike, what do you see as the advantage of a hybrid as opposed to an iPad with a Zagg keyboard case -- which many people now find makes a convenient primary device.
