I agree with Mr Williams that the gov is not in the business to provide a spectacular customer experience, nevertheless, it doesn't mean they can not provide a pleasant experience, I recently renew my driver licence online (CA DL). I very much enjoyed the whole process. It was easy and satisfying,

Jeffrey D. Zients is indeed "one of the smartest guys we know in this space." The question will be, will he have the time and authority to build a stronger program management team than he found before he moves on to become director of the National Economic Council at the White House on January 1.
