re: RIM Missed Opportunity For Straight Talk
"customers will move on." - To What??

Have you tried Good Messaging? Have you tried integrating an Android or IOS device into the Enterprise ? Apple has always been troublesome in Enterprise architecture, Android is not much better.

As soon as policies and security (remote wipe) becomes a concern there really is not a lot to choose from. So while it sounds catchy to say "customers will move on" in your headline, try backing that up with something - because the cold reality is that there is not a lot there to choose from.

Consumer business is a whole different beast.

The concern is that, in the absence of real facts, RIM has left the door open for wild speculation on the state of its network infrastructure. Customers are likely to imagine the worst, regardless of whether that reflects reality. Openness, transparency, and a little humility, would go a long way toward regaining the good will of their customers.
