Dear Author...You Lost me at:
"The right thing to focus on is encouraging a broadband free market."

Yeah right. Some users only have a choice of 2 cable providers? Try like 1 cable provider for us in a developed detroit suburb!

And even though there are more cell phone carriers than cable in a given area, it's still only 5 +/-. And it's still not an open market and there are lots of problems because of this. In our county, it's not that comcast doesn't want to penetrate our home town, it's just that they can't as dictated by an agreement between the Oakland county cable commission and brighthouse networks.

Your statment reminds of a similar statement..."we have to give up freedom, so that we can have liberty" What!?!?!

It's clear, that we might as well be in russia circa 1990's on this cable deal. Not only do we not have a open broadband market, but now they get to tell me what I can and cannot do through the use of filtering?

I think the FCC did a fantastic job, and did what they were supposed to. As an I.T. person I concede this. Our market isn't open, it won't be for sometime, and for you to blab your mouth to buzz controversary is incredulous. It's a ridiculous argument, with some ignorant propaganda spliced in.

Good luck, you journalist...yeah sure...or shall i say propaganda repeater?
