re: HP Will Keep PC Division
Gosh - where to begin - Saw that on Twitter HP was downgraded from SELL to JOKE. Obviously the pC supply chain is an integral part of PC servers - ironic to find out that the real value of the PC business is the extra ink sales from bundled printers. Irrespective this leaves HP committed to investing in a capital intensive, low margin business - which will require cycles from the HP micro-managers they clearly don't have to spare. How do they expect to grow up and move into value added cloud solutions of the scope that IBM and others are offering with no money for SOftware and services acquisitions...? And what does this say about the market savvy that HP's stock went up? Maybe they can goose it again with another flip flop?
