New ZipKord Cable Has Multiple Heads

Always digging for the right kind of cable? Micro-USB? MiniUSB? Apple 30-pin? This could be the last docking cable you need--at least for a while.

We look at cables as nuisances and hold them in low esteem, but that's because so many cables are done as cheaply and simply as possible. ZipKord goes further than that. The latest example of the little things it does is the awkwardly-named iPhone, iPad, Micro & Mini USB Sync & Charge Cable.

If you're tired of fishing through a mish-mash of cables at the bottom of a dark backpack for the right one, this cable makes it a lot easier.

The iiMMUSC is a USB cable with three heads: a MicroUSB, a MiniUSB, and an Apple 30-pin connector, for iPhones, iPads, and iPods, respectively. My first thought was that the MiniUSB is a waste because few devices use it anymore and there are fewer every day, but there was no reason not to include it. The space is there on the device.

Like the ZipKord Micro Tip, iPad & iPhone Dual USB Car/Wall Charger (MTiiUC/WC) I reviewed several months ago, the iiMMUSV has a 40-inch retractable cord. But just because it has three tips don't think you can attach more than one device at a time. There probably wouldn't be enough power, and if there was any device syncing going on it would cause big problems.
