Amazon declined to comment and Apple has refused to comment too.
I suppose this unknown person's claim is possible. But it doesn't look right to me.
The problem is the Amazon Web page URL that's displayed in the screenshot:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/flex/sign-in/select.html
If you actually go to the page that the screen shot purports to show -- Your Account > Where's My Stuff? -- and you select "Orders placed in the last 6 months," as the screen shot shows, the URL is different:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/css/history/view.html
What's more, it's trivial to alter any Amazon.com account to display the name "Steve Jobs." Just to go to https://www.amazon.com/gp/css/account/info/view.html?ie=UTF8&viewID=editName and type "Steve Jobs." All that stands in your way is a CAPTCHA challenge.
Now "orin0co's" screen shot could have been taken months ago, when Amazon's site behaved differently.
But to me it looks like a fake.
