re: 8 Reasons SMBs Fail To Back Up Data
I concur fully with AMITRA000's post and would like to add that for a lot of companies, a backup/disaster plan is the last item on the list of things they consider when setting up an IT inftrastructure of any size. Or in some cases, where one is, it is not properly checked for functionality and that all users are connected to the backup system.
Here at MjM Data Recovery we often see storage media that have become inaccessible for one reason or another and fortunately in the majority of cases we recover the data - but not all cases. The reality is that the trust in the storage hardware is completly misplaced. It is with absolute certainty that every single storage device will fail at some point. If there is no backup, then it is down to chance as to when it will fail.
