Dell is customizing its approach to tech support based on IT savviness for its complete line of laptop, desktop, server and storage products.ProSupport for End-Users is designed for growing businesses that lack in-house tech support -- a common scenario for many smaller businesses. The package includes "how-to" support for software applications including Norton AntiVirus, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Small Business Server and Intuit QuickBooks, as well as support for more than 30 major third-party hardware and software vendors.
The Round Rock, Texas-based computer maker has also introduced ProSupport for IT, aimed at companies that have in-house tech support. Services include the fast dispatch of parts and labor for certified partners, and around-the-clock direct access to Dell Expert Centers.
