The HD2 is another one of the supposed "iPhone killers." Its specs include a 4.3" capacitive screen. That means, like the iPhone, you can use multiple touches to control what is on the screen. WinMo 7 will have this built it but HTC has written drivers for WinMo 6.5 to give that ability on this device. Of course, apps will have to be written to take advantage of that, but you can be sure that the basic video and photo devices on the HD2 will have multi-touch capabilities.
It also has the Snapdragon 1GHz processor and the all new HTC Sense interface. This is the first WinMo phone with Sense. Previous HTC devices included one of the Touch Flo interfaces.
It has 512MB of RAM, 488MB of ROM, a microSD slot for expansion, a 5 megapixel camera with dual LED lights, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Hallelujah - no more of those ridiculous USB audio jacks that require an adapter. Of course, WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G are standard.
It appears this device has all of the right specs to support the WinMo 7 Chassis 1 specification too, so it has upgrade potential.
You can see more specs at HTC's European site, though the radios will be different for the US market.
