IDC: Samsung Leads Smartphone Market, iPhone Shipments Decline

In the second quarter of this year, total smartphone shipments were essentially flat compared to the same period in 2015, according to a new report from IDC. Samsung and Apple still lead the market.

Could it be...?
Could it be that the novelty of the annual release-driven buzz of the iPhone has worn off?

Or is this typical cyclical behavior between iPhone releases?
