Gone is the chunky chin and boring, industrial design of the G1. In its place is a smoother device, with rounder edges and, dare I suggest, a hint of class.
Also gone is the awkward slide-out keyboard, which is replaced by a more standard sliding keyboard. The QWERTY keys spotted in the image closely resemble the QWERTY keys of other devices from HTC, such as the Wing or some of the Touch models. I am fond of the QWERTY keyboards on HTC's WinMo phones, and thing that they are world's better than the keyboard on the G1. If this image is accurate, the keyboard would be much improved. No other specs were revealed.
According to TmoToday, this device is going to be available from Wal-Mart in October at a price point of $148. Can't say I would call that solid information, but we can definitely write it down as a possibility.
