Nestor To Intro Marketing Campaign Management Product

Nestor Inc. will enter the marketing campaign management market next week with technology to predict how customers will react to campaign initiatives.

Nestor, a company with its roots in risk management software for the financial industry, will announce CampaignOne, a desktop-based product that will help companies plan marketing campaigns based on customer patterns.

Nestor joins a growing list of companies--including Rubric Software, MarketFirst, Annuncio Software, and MarketSoft--trying to capture a chunk of the fast-growing marketing automation sector with products that range from campaign management to data warehouses to lead management. But Nestor says CampaignOne's neural network model approach, which attempts to duplicate the way the human brain works and establish patterns in data, distinguishes it from competing products.

The product can also tie in with a company's existing rules-based models. Models can be scripted in a number of languages, including Java. Data, including click-through data from the Web, can be imported to fill out models.

CampaignOne will be immediately available, starting at $275,000 for the product, two custom-built neural models, and four weeks of on-site support. A yearly 20% maintenance fee will be charged starting in the second year of ownership.
