M-USA Business Systems Inc. today launched a tool to help small and medium-sized businesses better manage online stores. Called Pacioli 3000 E-business, the software will provide an accounting and management system for Web stores.
"Anyone can build their own Web site, but smaller companies usually can't afford the costs of most E-commerce solutions on the market, nor can they afford consulting costs," says Jose Hurtado, president and CEO of M-USA. "We created an easy-to-use solution that will allow small-business owners to control and manage their electronic stores on their own, thereby cutting their costs."
The application will allow users to change prices in their online stores, and track inventory and customer orders in real time. It will also allow the user to handle back-end functions such as bookkeeping and cash management.
"It's a basic service that will be a commodity in the near future," says Barton Taylor, an analyst with Giotto Perspectives, a research firm that specializes in application service providers. "Now the small-business owner can manage a company in a more responsive way to lower costs."
M-USA will target ISPs and Web-hosting companies, who will in turn provide the application to small to midsize companies for a suggested retail price of $30 to $50 a month. Companies can also purchase the software directly from M-USA for $2,500. The software is available now.
