In a devastating blow to Oracle's claims against Google for creating a Java variant, the jury has found for Google in the meat of the case.

This was the second of 3 trial phases. In the first, the jury found that Google infringed Oracle's copyrighted Java APIs.

But the defeat is a devastating one for Oracle, which has little prospect now of obtaining significant damages against Google.
