Yippee!

I'm sitting here staring at the FedEx "We're sorry we missed you!" door tag on my desk. The FedEx Express delivery person left it while I was out this morning. I can't pick-up the package until after 6 p.m., the tag reads, but I know what's inside. My Apple video iPod has arrived!!

Yes, I'm an electronics gadget person and I can't wait to try it out. I even paid $13 extra to get it here in two days.

I really can't financially afford it, but I bought the 60-Gbyte one for $399, which Apple estimates will hold 15,000 songs, 25,000 photos, or more than 150 hours of video. If ever there comes a time when you really can download an entire movie on these things, I'm going to need as much hard drive space as I can possibly get.

For now I'll have to settle for Desperate Housewives and Lost. Apple partnered with Disney to offer downloads of the ABC shows. I'm not really a big television fan. I figure, why watch life when you can live it?

I am interested in video podcasting. Anyone else out there buy a video iPod with the 2.5-inch color screen? And if so, what do you think of the technology, and did you get the black one or white one?
