InformationWeek Radio, Powered by Dark Reading

Join Dark Reading contributing editor Sara Peters and Mark Aiello, president of Boston-based cyber-security professional services and staffing firm Cyber 360 Solutions, to discuss trends in security compensation and careers.

Security pros are in high demand and aren’t shy about asking for more — money, perks, and responsibility. The 621 security staffers and managers taking part in InformationWeek’s 2014 IT Salary Survey earn much more than the average IT pro, and the vast majority feel secure in their jobs. But do they risk overplaying their hands? Community colleges and trade schools are scrambling to meet the demand for security professionals, and “hired gun” services from the likes of IBM to boutique firms are lined up, looking to outsource security.

Speaker(s):

Mark Aiello is President of Cyber 360 Solutions, a cyber-security professional services and staffing firm headquartered in Boston. Cyber 360 Solutions is a division of Staffing 360 Solutions, a publicly listed company in the global staffing sector engaged in the acquisition of domestic and international staffing organizations with operations in the United States, Europe, and India. Previously, Mark was founder and CEO of The Revolution Group and secureRevGroup.

Sara Peters is a contributing editor at Dark Reading. Most recently the editor-in-chief of Enterprise Efficiency she was previously senior editor for the Computer Security Institute, writing and speaking about virtualization, identity management, cybersecurity law, and a myriad of other topics. She authored the 2009 CSI Computer Crime and Security Survey and founded the CSI Working Group on Web Security Research Law – a collaborative project that investigated the striking dichotomy between laws regulating software vulnerability disclosure and those regulating Web vulnerability disclosure. She is also an actor and live storyteller.
