SCO Group: Who Are These Guys?

The company taking on IBM and the Linux community in an intellectual-property dispute over Unix source code sounds like the same company that developed a version of Unix, called Xenix, for Intel's 8086 and 8088 processors 20 years ago, but it's not. The SCO Group was founded in 1994 as Caldera Inc., a Linux developer. In 2001, a spin-off, Caldera Systems, acquired some of the assets of the original Santa Cruz Operation, and, in 2002, it changed its name to SCO Group.
