SCO Head Pleads His Case

SCO Group CEO Darl McBride ended a brief lull in the Linux community's ongoing controversy over software copyrights and intellectual property last week with an open letter to open-source software users. The letter referenced denial-of-service attacks launched against SCO Group's Web site, asking open-source proponents to police themselves and stop such attacks, while once again laying out the company's position: Its Unix System V source code was illegally used to enhance the Linux kernel.
