Smarts Takes On Frame Relay Correlation
Systems Management Arts (Smarts) next week will unveil areal-time event correlation software application designed todiagnose the source of a performance problem.
InCharge Frame Relay Manager uses a methodology calledcodebook analysis that automatically computes a list ofassociated symptoms triggered by a problem instance, such asexcessive frame loss, using topology information, andgeneric correlation models. It finds the cause of theproblem by matching the real-time data with problemsignatures.
InCharge diagnoses problems associated with frame relayports, Data Link Connector Identifiers, PVCs, and framerelay clouds in real time. Because the system analyzes framerelay MIBs from the equipment, IT personnel don't have toinstall additional monitoring hardware. The application isavailable immediately, starting at $80,000.
