Software Helps Companies Manage Sales Leads
MarketSoft Corp. this week will introduce software thathelps businesses pass leads to internal salespeople andchannel sales partners. The eLeads software fills what thestartup says is a real void: Only 10% to 30% of sales leadsare ever acted upon internally, and a mere 5% are acted uponby channel partners, the company says.
The software is designed to help salespeople get those leadsalmost instantaneously and contact potential customerswithin 24 hours. It lets companies transmit leadselectronically to the correct salesperson--via front-officeand contact-management packages such as Siebel 99, SymantecAct!, and Microsoft Outlook--rather than through slower andmore costly telephone, mail, and fax services.
MarketSoft says eLeads, which works over the Web, isparticularly suited for companies with large indirect saleschannels, where it's more difficult to determine whatsalespeople are doing with their leads. The software isavailable immediately, starting at $100,000. A hostedservice starts at $10,000 per month with a six-monthminimum.
