Oracle buys a medium-sized business partner
There's overlap between the two, but NetSuite started out as the SaaS of choice of small and medium-sized businesses, and it grew from there. I'm sure there's still some distinction between the Oracle and NetSuite customer bases. In 2006, NetSuite added an app for light manufacturing as opposed to an SAP or Oracle-type of manufacturing application. Zach Nelson's NetSuite did a great job of growing as big as it did and becoming a company worth $9.3 billion.
